bounce is an app designed to assist employers and job seekers to connect in order to find and provide employment opportunities in an efficient way with no middleman or bureaucracy.

bounce works on the principle of matching job seekers and employers who are interested in one another (like each other) and connecting them in order to pursue job opportunities or vacancies.

about_bounce Are there any rules?

Please review our terms and conditions policy for all the specific do's and don'ts when using bounce. Our main rules relate to being courteous to other users at all time and not displaying or putting up content that is threatening, offensive or pornographic in any manner. Contravening these rule will result in your account being closed and you being banned from the bounce app.
Nothing!! To sign up and put your profile up either as an employer or job seeker costs you nothing. We have some Premium services both job seekers and employers can purchase for a small fee which provides them with some added features, but to be in the market is FREE!!!
Should you need to contact us for any reason be it due to another person's inappropriate behaviour, inappropriate photograph, fake profile, stolen photograph or simply you have a suggestion you would like to share please contact us either via the website or email us at support@bounce-jobs.com.
Simply download the app from either or Tap "Let's Get Started > Sign Up", put in a few details to create your profile and then you are on the market.
Check your email account's spam folder in case our verification email ended up there by mistake. If you find the email in your spam folder, remember to mark it as 'Not spam'. To resend open the app and tap the link entitled "Didn't get a code? Tap here to resend". A new email will be generated by the system and resent. If that doesn't work, please email support@bounce-jobs.com where one of the team will be able to help you retrieve your verification code.
Open the app, tap "Let's Get Started > Login > Forget your password", and follow the instructions on screen to be sent a reminder email with your password.
There could be a number of reasons for you not receiving the email after selecting "Forget your password" so please
  1. First make sure that you entered the right email address and correct it if it's wrong.
  2. If you entered the correct email address check your email account's junk or spam folder in case the email is there. If you find the email in your junk or spam folder follow the instructions on it and remember to mark it as 'Not spam' so other correspondence from ourselves to you does not mistakenly end up in the junk or spam folder.
  3. If you still cannot find the email please contact support@bounce-jobs.com where one of the team will be able to help you reset your password.

If you have created a user profile this is visible by any employer or person registered as someone providing employment on the app.

If you have created an employer or person offering employment profile your profile will be visible to all user profiles which are registered and seeking employment in your designated area.

Users who hold job seeker accounts cannot view other jobseeker accounts.

The star ratings are for users to provide employers and job seekers with a happiness score based on their interactions with one another.

They do not refer to how well someone suits a job or what someone thinks of a job.

They refer to how happy you were with your interaction with either a job seeker or employer. For example if they got back to you quickly and were polite they may get a higher score than someone who took a long time to come back to you or was abrupt.

Open the app, go to "My account" by tapping your profile picture on the top-left corner of the screen, and then tapping your profile tile under the "Profile" tab.

Tap anywhere below the title "Display location" to display the location search dialog box. Start typing the (town or postcode) / (city or zip code) depending on your area, and a list of possibilities will be presented to you to choose from. Select one, tap the "Done" button, and then finally tap the back arrow to save your change.
To add a photo to your profile simply go to your profile and tap the "Select Image" button. Please note that the file size limit is 128 MB. Please upload a recent picture that clearly represents who you are as your profile picture. Please bear in mind adding a profile picture is optional but we have found profiles with pictures tend to get more views and connections.
All major image file formats are supported. In terms of width and height there are no limitations as all images are resized and compressed by the system on upload. For the best results choose a picture that has you in the centre of the image.
Open the app, go to "My account" by tapping your profile picture on the top-left corner of the screen, and then tapping your profile tile under the "Profile" tab. Tap the button "Select Image" to change the image.
If your profile picture has not been accepted it will be due to the fact that it has not met or has contravened what we deem acceptable. Please see the question below for more details.
Profile pictures will not be allowed if they:
  1. Feature anyone under the age of 18
  2. Something obscures or hides your face
  3. Have watermarks, logos, overlaying text or heavy editing
  4. Contain pornography or explicit content
  5. Show any illegal content, violent or offensive material
  6. Depict anyone else except the user (e.g. icons or pictures of famous people)
If you would like to take a break from bounce for a little while or if you don't want your current employer to know your looking for other oppotunities, you have the option to "Go incognito". When your profile is "Incognito" it is simply hidden, meaning you will not appear on both the discover and searches conducted by Employers or people providing employment. This option does not in any way stop you from discovering, searching, liking positions and using the messages. If you like a position you will only be shown to the employer who's position you liked. To "Go incognito" simply Open the app, go to "My account" by tapping your profile picture on the top-left corner of the screen, and then tapping the toggle "Go incognito" under the "Profile" tab to the on position. To make your profile visible again, tap the toggle to the off position.
Tap the "Likes" button in the footer bar of the app to see who has liked your profile as well as who you have liked.
Tap the "Matches" button in the footer bar of the app to see both your matches, as well as who has matched you.
Once you have liked another user's profile, a notification will immediately be sent to the other user informing them of the like. Proceed to the "Likes" section to manage the Like further.
Once you have successfully matched with a user or eployer, tap the "Matches" button in the footer of the app, tap the user or employer's profile, and then lastly tap "Connect" to open a new message with the user or employer. Alternatively in the "Matches" section you may also slide the uers or employer's tile to the left to access the "Connect" shortcut.
To block a user or employer, tap the user or employer's profile under any section of the app, and then tap the icon in the top right of the screen to open the More dialog box. Here you will be given the option to either Block the user, or Report the user. Reporting the user also gives you the option to block the user after you have reported them to us, or to simply just report them. Alternatively you may also slide the user or employer's tile to the left to access the "More" shortcut.
Open the app, go to "My account" by tapping your profile picture on the top-left corner of the screen, and then tap the icon to access the "Settings". Lastly tap "Blocked Users" to manage the block list.

As with any location-based service, it's important that you use common sense when interacting with people online.

  1. Protect your account - Please do not share your account information with anyone and ensure you choose a strong password when you set it up. We will never ask you for these details so if you are asked via email or message please report this to us immediately.
  2. Don't use a controversial or provocative username - this could attract the wrong kind of attention. We recommend using your first name only.
  3. Protect your personal information - Never share your personal or financial information such as your home or work address, family information and/or your NI or Social Security number. Also please never share information which could be used to access your financial accounts or send any money to another user for any reason.
  4. Keep your messaging on the platform - We have our own messaging system that allows you to send attachments etc. This is designed to keep you safe, do not allow others to move you away from it to other messaging apps, emails or texts.
  5. If you come across any suspicious, inappropriate and/or offensive behaviour or images immediately report these to us. There is also a block user function if you ever feel uncomfortable with other users or exchanges. Do not put up with abuse or harassment - block the user or report them to our support team. We aim to deal with these matters as quickly as possible.

Below are a couple of our suggestions of how you can keep yourself safe when meeting people offline.

  1. Meet in public - seek to meet the employer or person offering employment at their work premises or in a public place never meet at a home or private location. Do not be afraid to ask for a phone or video call such as skype, zoom or Microsoft team meetings before physically meeting up.
  2. Ensure your plans are known - ensure someone i.e. a friend, colleague or family member know your plans including when and where you are meeting and for how long. Also ensure you are contactable by mobile phone.
  3. If it does not feel right it probably is not right - It can be useful to come prepared with an excuse to leave if you feel the meeting is not going well, that way you get out with a minimum of fuss. If at any point during your meeting you feel uncomfortable or unsafe leave immediately.

Bounce Bucks is the currency used to purchase Premium Services we may offer our users.

Our Premium Services include (but not exclusively) "Promote me", "Promote position" and "Connect" where you are able to promote yourself or promote your position to help you get noticed and attract greater attention.

bounce's Premium Services include the following for Job seekers and Employers respectively:

  1. For job seekers bounce's Premium Services include "Promote me" which allows you to get more readily noticed by promoting your profile for a set period of time.
  2. For employers or people providing job opportunities bounce's Premium Services include:
    • "Promote position" - which allows businesses to promote their individual positions or current vacant job roles for a set period of time, and
    • "Connect" - which allows business users to message and engage job seekers they are interested in connecting with.

The pricing for our Premium Services may vary due to a number of factors, such as (but not limited to) promotional offers, loyalty bonuses and other discounts. Please see our Terms of Business policy for a full explanation concerning Bounce Bucks.

You can buy Bounce Bucks in denominations of 5, 10, 20 and 50 at a time. The more you buy the bigger the discount.

1 Bounce Buck is equal to £1.00 in the United Kingdom, $1.00 in the United States of America, €1.00 in the Republic of Ireland, R10.00 in the Republic of South Africa, and are based on your geographical location.

In order to buy or top up your Bounce Bucks please see below

  1. Open the app, go to "My account" by tapping your profile picture on the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. Select the "Wallet" tab.
  3. On your Bounce Bucks card tap the "TOP UP" button.
  4. Select the denomination of Bounce Bucks you would like purchase, and then tap the "Checkout" button to complete your purchase.
  5. Once payment has completed successfully, the amount you purchased will automatically be added to your account and visable on the front of your Bounce Bucks card.
  6. You will also receive an email containing your receipt immediately after every successful payment from Stripe (our payment partner).
  7. All receipts are at any time accessible via the "Transaction history", just below your Bounce Bucks card.

YES! Bounce Bucks can be earned through recommending bounce to friends or employers. Bounce Bucks can also be earned through promotional services we may provide from time to time.
No. If you elect to partake in any of our Premium Services as a job seeker or employer, you agree to use these services for yourself and not to transfer (for free or as a sale) to or purchase, or sell such services from other bounce users. bounce will only honour paid for Premium Services to you if you were the person to whom the Bounce Bucks or services were issued.
No, Bounce Bucks do not last forever. Bounce Bucks expire 6 months after the date they were purchased if they have not all been utilised. We reserve the right to expire any unused Bonus Bucks. If you delete your account or if your account is terminated by us due to breach of our Terms and Conditions of Use, you will lose any accumulated Bounce Bucks. If you receive free or promotional Bounce Bucks, we may expire them at any time. Bounce Bucks are not redeemable for any sum of money or monetary value from us unless we agree otherwise in writing.

bounce_bucks Refunds?

Bounce Bucks are not refundable once purchased and last for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase before they are cancelled. They are non-transferable and non-redeemable.

Where profiles and/or other Content are rejected and/or removed from our Products by us, it is our policy NOT to issue refunds. If you have any doubts about the suitability of a proposed profile, please contact us in advance of creating the profile or promoting it.

To uninstall the bounce app from your iOS device please follow the steps below:

  1. Press and hold the bounce app icon.
  2. Tap the "X" that appears.
  3. Tap Delete to confirm.

To reinstall the bounce app for your iOS device, download it from the iTunes App Store.

To uninstall the bounce app from your Android device please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your Android's settings and open your application manager.
  2. Tap bounce.
  3. Tap Uninstall

To reinstall the bounce app for your Android device, download it again from the Google Play Store.

While we would be sad to see you go, we do appreciate that at some point you may wish to close your bounce account.
